Confronting the overheating of dense urban spaces which affects especially children and older or ill people, the availability of public and green spaces gains high importance. The focus in the project areas Währing (Veinna) and Wolkersdorf (Lower Austria) is on the offer and quality of urban green spaces, the effect of traditional shadowing and cooling methods as well as on the testing of innovative and sustainable cooling technologies.
