With the project play!UC we aim to improve the understanding of complex urban problems in participatory processes. Specifically, this should be realised through the targeted use of co-located serious games. In addition, research will be carried out on game mechanics that address, in particular, the target group of young adults and encourage reflection on the carbon footprint.

In this context, the game Mobility Safari, an informative board game revolving around the contents of the urban mobility strategy, was developed for the city of Vienna. The goal of the game is to build networks, implement as many mobility projects as possible, which range from mobility apps to bike & ride facilities to school campaigns, and collect CO2 savings points, community points and coins.
